Annotation

Description
EutD phosphotransacetylase converts acetyl coenzyme A and phosphate into coenzyme A and acetyl phosphate. The enzyme is a part of ethanolamine utilization (eut) system allowing bacteria to use ethanolamine as a source of carbon, nitrogen and energy. The EutD phosphotransacetylase displays nearly the same biological activity as the housekeeping phosphotransacetylases, Pta enzymes.
